foreignfilms has been created by Federico Fasolino, a European executive producer, whose career in producing commercials began in 1985. That year, Federico landed his first job with Italian production company Videco, starting at the bottom as a production assistant but quickly earning a promotion to producer by the age of 21. By that time he had already produced major commercials for fashion designer Gianfranco Ferre' and for Chivas Regal with Academy Award winner Director James Ivory. Federico was then asked to join Italian powerhouse BRW&Partners as a producer in 1988. During his tenure at BRW, Federico produced commercials for multinational Clients like BMW, Coca Cola, MTV, Pirelli, Volvo, Campari and Alfa Romeo in Europe, the UK, Asia and North America, which won several prestigious awards. Among these accolades are Gold and Bronze Lions at Cannes, Clio’s, Art Directors Club Grand Prix’s, Epica d’Or and London International Advertising Awards. In addition to his work with the industry’s leading Directors, Federico also developed a reputation for selecting, nurturing and developing new talents. At the age of 26 he was named executive producer and became a partner of BRW, also becoming its general manager when the Company expanded internationally. After 15 years at BRW - having run production companies and built Directors’ careers in Europe - Federico wanted a new challenge and the next logical step was to work in America with some of the many talents he has come to know well over the years. As a contemporary art passionate, Federico Fasolino has produced artist Marco Brambilla densely hypnotic and kaleidoscopic 3D film RPM, commissioned by Ferrari in celebration of their latest auto masterpiece, the 458 Spider, which premiered at Art Basel Miami on November 2011. Federico was selected as a judge for the 2012 AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, now in its twenty-first year. The work selected will become part of the archives of the Department of Film at The Museum of Modern Art in New York. foreignfilms represents award winning filmmaker Robinson Devor, Danish multiple Cannes Lions and Clio's winner Stevan Treshow and famed photographer/director Albert Watson.
